Vesta's Village
Because our future depends on how we take care of our mothers.
There is an old African proverb that says, "It takes a village to raise a child." For generations, especially in matriarchal and matrilineal cultures, raising a child was a shared, collective effort, not a solo task. Children were shaped by many hands - guided by aunties, elders, neighbors, and chosen kin. At Vesta's Village, we're reclaiming that truth. We believe that motherhood deserves support, not isolation, and that every mother should have a village standing beside her.
Vesta's Village is a healing-centered community created by and for single mothers. Though we are currently in our early phase, our goal is to provide safe housing, essential support, and pathways from surviving to thriving.
Our mission is to ensure that no mother has to do it alone. Our vision includes access to shared childcare, emotional support, and economic opportunity, all grounded in dignity, lived experience, and collective care.
We believe that when mothers are seen and supported, their families flourish - and communities grow stronger for generations to come. At Vesta's Village, our goal is to empower women with the tools to do it on their own and the village to support them along the way.
