Vesta's Village Core Team

Vesta's Village is led by a dedicated team of single mothers and single mom allies - women who believe that care is powerful, community is essential, and no one should have to do it all alone. Each of us brings lived experience, deep commitment, and a shared vision for what's possible when mothers are supported, seen, and resourced.

Founder & CEO
Stacey
Stacey has more than six years of experience supporting individuals and families with developmental disabilities and special needs. She has worked in schools, in homes, and in community-based programs, helping children and parents navigate behavioral, educational, and systemic challenges.
Her background in sociology and feminist studies, along with years of leading women-centered healing spaces, informs her approach to care, systems awareness, and collective support.
Her work is guided by an understanding that families’ challenges are shaped by a combination of individual circumstances and systemic design.
Vesta’s Village grew from Stacey’s experience as a single mom and her commitment to building support shaped by lived experience.
She is dedicated to building a world where families, especially single-mom families, have the support, stability, and community they deserve.

Operations + Logistics
Alexandra
Alex is passionate about living with purpose, and believes empathy, intention, and integrity are key. She will always stand up for human and environmental rights, support others, and commit to her journey of healing, mindfulness, and growth. She is fueled by creativity and self-expression. She loves movies, music, and traveling. She also cares deeply about mental health and the power of community.
Alex has over 15 years of experience in the healthcare and health insurance industry, including over 8 years of experience in a leadership role. She is currently pursuing her degree in Anthropology and ASL/Deaf Studies. Now communicating at an intermediate level, Alex is actively taking additional courses to continue advancing her fluency in American Sign Language.
While she is not a mother herself, Alex was raised by a single mom, and is a proud ally to single mothers. She has seen the strength it takes to raise a child alone, and how often necessary resources are out of reach. That lived experience is one of the many reasons why she is a part of Vesta’s Village.

Community Outreach Coordinator
Sonia
Sonia is a dedicated mother and driven student currently pursuing her accounting degree. With a passion for financial literacy, she hopes to use her skills to support small businesses and, even more importantly, help individuals strengthen their personal finances. As a proud mom to her 9-year-old son, she understands the resilience, strength, and resourcefulness that single motherhood requires.
She has also worked in the field of supporting children with autism, an experience that deepened her compassion, patience, and commitment to helping families navigate challenges with strength and love.
Growing up without a strong sense of community, Sonia learned early on to be independent and to push through obstacles on her own. Asking for help was never easy. But through Vesta’s Village and the incredible core team behind it, she has experienced what true community feels like: support, connection, and sisterhood. Now, Sonia is committed to helping build that same environment for other single mothers, creating a space where they can grow, be supported, and thrive together.

Creative + Media Lead
Kaitlyn
Kaitlyn is a filmmaker and creative storyteller with a deep passion for visual media and human rights. She studied filmmaking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she developed strong skills in video production, cinematography, and editing. Since then, she has worked on both feature-length and short independent films, as well as a variety of digital and broadcast projects.
In 2023, Kaitlyn wrote and directed her own film, In the Shadows, a Latino dark drama that touches on the subtle forms of bias and exclusion that can arise within college environments. The film earned her the award for Best First-Time Woman Director. Kaitlyn is dedicated to advocating for her community and is committed to increasing representation for women and people of color both on-screen and behind the camera.
Kaitlyn joined Vesta's Village after connecting with an inspiring group of women whose dedication and compassion deeply moved her.
